I made Drapers Magazine!

WARNING! Shameless Magazine feature plug.

When good things happen, as the result of hard work and after a year of diversifying and flexibility as a Photographer, through 3 lockdowns and a global pandemic. Switching to working 90% outdoors, generating idea after idea after idea to keep my little business afloat and trying desperately to continue to deliver peoples photography, to help them to keep documenting their stories, at a time when I felt it was more important than ever to do so.

I sneaked off to secret maternity shoots in desolate isolated streets, entered peoples homes to capture their newborns (once rules allowed). Dragged trolleys full of outdoor set props up hills and through forests in adverse weather conditions. I took on work for a lot less than I usually would just to help in any way that I could, and to keep shooting…With all the odds stacked against me with every rule change and lockdown and tier change that hit me. I worked on remote projects for brands and "rainbow of hope" virtual school photos, driving forward no matter what the storm...

And after everything I feel that this little feature of my work is definitely worth shouting about!! Good things happen when you keep at it.

I know that really, the focus here is the wonderful kids brand and what they stand for - but I am super chuffed that my Photography helped to get this brand here. So I decided to drop this career achievement into a blog, and shout about it. I hope you don’t mind.

MY FIRST MAGAZINE FEATURE!!

Wooohoo.

My Fashion Photography work featured in Drapers Magazine as a result of the work I produced for Making Animals Important, an ethical children’s clothing brand. 16.03.21

MAI stands for @makinganimalsimportant and was named after Salt's daughter India-Mai. The sustainable brand only uses GOTS suppliers, is plastic free, donates 5% of its profit to the charity @faunafloraint and is helping @weforest_org plant more trees.
